BATMAN EVOLUTION ( Evolved )

Being a child of the 70's / 80's,... i chose to do my version of that era's batman. ( A big salute and debt of gratitude to Batman artists of that era who's art inspired me to draw in the first place.
Neal Adams,Jim Aparo,Jose Garcia Lopez, and Alex Toth's Superfriends Batman .

Nice!! I like #02....even with the harsh black edge. ;)

I'm not a fan of the pupils though. I'd have left the eyes pure white.

Hey Kevin,

I can already see this on a collector's plate!

I really can't choose one over the other here. They both equally look like the're out to kick ass.

YaWhoooo!!!

Great job KB, awesome piece with lots of mood and atmosphere. I like them both, and honestly can't pick a favorite. I think I see some Jim Aparo in here, the way the cape flows outward from his shoulders. Fastner and Larson would be proud!

Hard to choose--but I, an anonymous artist myself, would go with the first.

My middle name is "Bold". You'd think it'd be "Italics" with the last name like "Rissetto" but really it's not...

I say numero 1. Bold it is. Still love those hands. Even more now with color. The cape line is noticably sketchier than other parts of the drawing probably cuz of the light so it's a little bothersome.

Funny I feel like he's missing some abs but I guess back in the day superheroes weren't so concerned with a chiseled physique.

Looks great Kevin!

It's hard to choose between one or the other, but I think I'd go with #2, atmosphere is really nice in both though. Can't wait to see more goodness.

Kevster,
I deffinately like the light dark contrast of the first pick...
I like some things about the color of #2 as well...
Im wondering if maybe theres a way to get the colors of 2 with the light and contrast of 1.
Great job by the way. Came along nicely

Nice!

Although I loved the color choices in your color keys a little more. It was less contrasted which gave it a more mysterious eerie feeling.

Nice finish Kevin! Can't wait to see more!

Hi Kevin,
I've been following your progression. It's looking great but I still think that right hand looks a bit awkward. looks a bit too bent for a clinched fist walking pose

Its great to see somthing from start to finish, it has great attitude!

Hey Kevin,

Looking really good! It is nice to see the progression. I prefer the first one, though, I think you could have pushed the contrast just a bit more and darken him up in the torso and legs under his cape. Again, it's all subjective; hope you don't mind me saying so......

Yer pal,
Mike

Gorgeous Batmen..... They are both fantastic.... just subtle differences..... but I might use the top one over the bottom only because I prefer the highlights in the chest area... but seriously man... they are both bomb!! Great job! Thanks for checkin out my site!

WOW, This looks really great! I can see a Jim Aparo influence with the long ears & he's wearing my favorite Bat-Belt. The one with the "capsules"...good job.

Thanx, Tommy
